On the evening of 6th-7th of December maintenance will be carried out on the Northseaweather server, which will unfortunately involve a short outage of our service between 11:30 UTC on the evening of the 6th and 04:00 UTC on the morning of the 7th, however within this window we expect the service to be unavailable for less than 60 minutes.
We will monitor the situation and post any updates here on our off-site noticeboard.
Apologies for the disruption and inconvenience caused by this.
Best regards
Dave Paterson

Hello,
There is currently a 3 hour delay in the production of the Forecast Model Data for the 1800UTC forecast output. We will post any updates on this as they become available. A delay of 3 hours may result in model run being cancelled as the delay may impact on the 0000UTC output.
Update at 1840UTC – Model data output is now completed. Forecast production has now commenced. Anticipate the 1800UTC output to be on the website by 1900UTC
Best regards

At this time the server hardware upgrade is complete. There are several issues being addressed by server admins. We are currently experiencing delays with updates to forecasts. The Midnight issue is now active and I anticipate the 0600GMT issue will be available around 0700 in the morning.
The Ferry Weather graphs and Max condition gauges are now activated.
Thank you for your patience during this process.

The NorthSeaWeather webserver will have a full hardware upgrade while being re-located to our server administrators new Data Centre.
Synchronization of data between the servers will commence around 2000UTC on Monday 19th.
Once the old and new servers are synchronized there will be a period of downtime as network re-configuration is carried out. There may be delays in the forecast updates after syncronization commences and the completion of the network switchover. It is advisable that users retain a printed version of the 1800UTC forecast isue as backup during this time.
If network administrators encounter any problems during the switchover we will keep you informed via our facebook or wordpress blog and Twitter account. We will inform you once the transfer has been completed and operations return to normal.
Thank you for your cooperation and patience.
Best regards
Dave Paterson

Both BT and Plusnet are experiencing connectivity issues meaning some NorthSeaWeather clients are unable to access their services with us. The issues though are directly with BT and Plusnet and all NorthSeaWeather services are operating as usual at this time, however updates may be delayed due to this issue. If you are with either provider and experiencing issues please check their service status pages here:

We are presently experiencing connectivity issues with the website data centre. This has been reported and we are awaiting news. Forecasts will not be updated until we have established a stable connection.
I will update with further news.
0100BST Sun 26 April – Due to denial of service attack issues , connection to the site is very erratic, preventing the upload of large data files. Investigations to the cause and finding a way to upload the data are being explored.
0218BST Sunday 26 April – All back to normal, latest forecasts activated and connectivity problems resolved
Thanks for your patience.
Best regards
