Possible outages due severe weather conditions.

Possible Service Outages. Please be aware that due to the severe weather conditians along the eastern seaboard of the USA there may be delays to model data that originates from the NWS servers in Maryland, and to the NorthSeaWeather wind and wave forecast website server, which is physically location in Connecticut.

Campos Basin Offshore Brazil

New Forecast areas offshore Brazil are now available to all subscribers. Access via the Forecast Matrix. The forecasts cover the Campos Basin, and will extend southwards across the Santos Basin soon. To subscribe to forecasts please visit http://www.northseaweather.co.uk

SSL Certification update 8 May 2010

We will be changing our SSL Security Certificate today. Please note that the current GeoTrust Logo will be replaced by a GoDaddy Logo.

This should not cause any problems to users logging into or opening accounts.

Internet Outage Sat 24 April 2010

Due to an ISP outage from 0700GMT to 1600GMT the 1200GMT forecast output was delayed by approx 3 Hours. During this period model data was downloaded and uploaded via dial up at a very slow speed.

Celtic Sea and NW Approaches Upgrade

During 21-23 April the navigation panels on the English Channel, Celtic Sea and NW Approaches will be upgraded and merged to providing a smoother flow between areas.

Nautical Sunrise and Nautical Sunset times will also be added to each forecast area.

Celtic Sea and Oil Exploration Waters west of Ireland

A  new Forecast Area has been added to NorthSeaWeather. This covers the Celtic Sea Area from off the Isles of Scilly out to 14 Deg West. The west of Ireland covers waters west of Ireland out to 14 Deg West between the 49th and 50th parallels. These areas are linked to the NW approaces area west of Hebrides and to the SW Approaches Area covering the English Channel waters.

Wind and Wave Forecasts are also available for the North Sea – Haltenbanken – Barents Sea – Nigeria – Angola and selected Ferry Crossings.
